Adult Initiation (RCIA)     Top

Those adults wishing to explore the possibility of becoming Catholic are invited to contact Father Norbie who will lead them in a process of initiation involving sessions on breaking open the Word, instruction on catholic beliefs, and participation in liturgical celebrations marking the steps of the process.  Each initiation candidate walks this journey with the support of a sponsor.  The initiation Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist are celebrated at the Easter Vigil. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).

Parent Sacrament Sessions

Times of sacrament preparation for children are times for parents to examine and renew their own sacramental commitment.

Infant/Toddler Baptism:  Fr. Norbie will meet with the parents to help them better understand and appreciate the solemnity of this sacrament.  Contact the parish office to make arrangements at 262-275-2480.

Parents are encouraged to participate in the preparation of children involved in First Reconciliation (Penance) and First Communion and Confirmation.  To this purpose information meetings and family centered activities are scheduled by the Faith Formation staff.

MOMs:   Top

Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) is a national program that began with a group of mothers at St. Timothy Parish in Mesa, Arizona in 1986.  Its creators, Sr. Paula Hagan, OSB, Vicki Jennet and Patricia Hoyt, were committed to designing a process that encouraged prayer, discussion and friendship among women of all ages.

Today, MOMS has developed into a spirituality process for all women in over 1,000 parishes.  Since Sr. Paula initiated MOMS in Omaha in June 1992, thousands of women have benefited from this life-giving experience.

The MOMS program continues to serve two purposes.  First, it is a program that leads to personal self-awareness and awakening to the spirituality of everyday life.  Secondly, it has been tremendously successful in bringing about a sense of belonging, hospitality, faith-sharing, and genuine community in churches across the country.

An 8-week spirituality series.  Offered Thursdays 9-11am or 7-9pm from April 8-May 27, 2010.  Week 8 will be an evening meeting with a dinner celebration.  Cost: $25, includes one copy of the book MOMS-A Personal Journal.  Scholarships are available.  Please don't let the cost deter you.
